FiiO E10 volumen changing buzz

Go to solution Solved by Heisenbleurgh,

change the gain to low

this makes it less noticeable, thanks!

My E10 does this as well, I don't think it's anything to worry about.

thanks, wanted to see if it was just mine :)

Ususally a bad connection somewhere. you could RMA it, but I don't think it's too much to worry about.

Static or buzz? Working the volume pot up and down a few times may help temporarily; opening up the unit and applying contact cleaner to the pot may be a more lasting solution.

pretty sure it's just buzz. I don't find it loud/annoying/frequent enough to be worth going through the trouble of returning unless it was a big deal it since I'm not in the US.

And I was actually curious of opening it up, I might just do that one of these days :P

thanks everyone!

Hi guys, I've been having an occasional buzz while adjusting volume on the E10. Works fine and only happens sometimes while adjusting the volume so it's not really something that constantly bothers me, at least not enough to consider it defective but just wanted to know if anyone's had similar issues with this or maybe another amp/dac?

Mine started doing it after I was dinking around with a solder gun and burnt out the LED circuits, which are right next to the volume pot's. Probably just a bad solder job on your unit.
