Looking into getting an RL06 Pro case and after looking int

o it a bit I want to swap out the stock fans for be quiet ones. The overall aim is to have good air flow while remaining to have noise level down. I want an mostly Black/white theme on the build so matte black fans would be preferred. This of course comes with its own line of questions:

  • Is there a better fans I could put in?
  • Should I do 3x120mm or 2x140mm on the front?
  • Off topic from the fans, should I use the dust covers that come with or upgrade them?
  • Is there any other upgrades for just the case that could benefit it?

Thanks for reading through my questions and if you comment even better and thanks you again! I'm UK based, if that impacts any answers?

Isn't the RL06/Pro out of production and generally expensive?

Probably just go for like any other cheaper case if you're going to add fans anyways? Like a Fractal Focus G, or Coolermaster MB511 or NR600?

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

There's an MB511 for 45 right now

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B07CZH4H6M/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new

Otherwise I'd just get the Coolermaster H500 at the same total price with it's 2 included 200mm fans.

That coolmaster H500 does look pretty. I don't even know what else to say. I'm just pondering over my budget, this upgrade was for in January once I had everything built fully xD

Are you buying the rest of it piece by piece? as that generally isn't a great idea

Should definitely get a 500GB SSD given how cheap they are now.

This is all fitting into my 1 budget. It's going to be spread over 2 months and tbh if Christmas wasn't coming up I wouldn't have to be as tight. I'm literally putting Windows 10 on that SSD then buying a 1 or maybe 2 tb in Jan to put any games on then the HDD is going to be for various stuff. That budget is working off a max of £700 a month roughly. I absolutely want to go straight out and buy a beast of a system but I'm just settling for stuff with a good upgrade path why I'm not skimping out on the MoBo or PSU

An SSD's speed drops as it fills up, with the current size of modern games 240gbs just isn't going to cut it anymore.

That's why I'm going to keep that 1 SSD for the OS then get the larger one in Jan. I'll be getting more games for then and I'll be back in Ireland for most of december so won't have much time to game on it 10-15 days give or take. The RL06 was a choice as it had the 3 slots for the storage so 1 for OS 1 for Games and 1 for random. If needs be I can make the random into  an external and add another 1tb SSD and a 1tb NVmE so 3tb in SSD or higher and 2tb in HDD. I don't think it will get to that stage though xD
