I prefer EVGA's stuff for the usual build quality, warranty, and their customer support (note I'm also in the US, IDK where you are so they may not be as easy to get to). Their top end is the FTW3, the SC/XC series is usually good as well. ASUS STRIX models are stellar as well. I believe Gigabyte has some good models, but they can often be form over function. MSI has the Gaming X series, though they may have some new high end ones, I forget what their lineup for this gen is.

What do you think I could get out of an RTX 2070 if I tried to sell it?

After a quick skim of r/hardwareswap, seeing prices from $330-460 USD. If it's a good model, try listing it for $450 shipped and see what offers you get.

I know when the 10 series came out, getting 1080’s at 200 a piece was well worth it. A 1080ti that came out some time later wouldn’t come close.

The scenario is the same today but takes a lot of cpu to keep up with a pair of cards. So I’d rather have a cpu struggle with one card and have minimal issues over using two with the same weak cpu and have the same issues but more of them.
