Backstory:
I'm a mod in a YouTuber's discord, and I was trying to help someone in our support section with a problem downloading custom content for this game. I asked them for a link for the custom content so I could just get it for them, but as soon as I clicked the link they provided me a dialog box popped up on my screen. I couldn't even read it, it was so fast. Then out of nowhere the computer went to into shutdown mode, out of fear I had manually shut it down via the power button fearing something might happen if I wait for the computer to shut down by itself.

The Problem
Each and every time I start my PC from that point forward earlier today, my PC just shutdowns my itself. To be more correct, it only does it once I login into my user. Once I log into my user, I'd say 10 to 15 seconds would pass then it would show the shut down loading screen for like 1 to 3 seconds then it'll finally shut off as if I did it myself. I can't think of any troubleshooting steps to solve as I can't do anything for that 10 to 15 seconds I'm logged in. I only have on user, and I can't test it out on another. As for the link that caused it, I think it's a virus site. Not sure, as I used the site before without a problem. I tested the site on my MacBook, which I'm typing from, and I got no dialog box. No virus. No nothing. Nothing happened! So I have no clue on what happened to my PC.

Important Information???
I'm sorry, but I don't remember any of my specs, but besides me buying an extra 8gb stick of ram to have a total of 16gb, the entire PC is stock.
My operating system is Windows 10.

Here's the site that caused all of this (WARNING)

Pretty please. I'm begging you guys, please let me keep my content.. I was stupid enough to not make any backups of anything semi important, but please tell me I can save my data and still solve this issue. But if the only option is to do some secret keybinding combo before I log into my user to like factory reset the PC or something I'll do it. But please I'll go with any other data saving option!!

I'll open the link in a VM but it sounds like it may be as simple as someone issuing the CLI shutdown command:

shutdown -s /t #

Then they may have put it in your startup folder.

Perhaps a bit of a stretch but that'd cause exactly what you're experiencing to happen.

What I'd recommend right now is try starting the computer in Safe Mode. See if it stays on or still shuts down.

Okay. After some long tries, I finally got it in safe mode, and I logged in, I think it's fine, it would've been shut down by now. What do you think I should do now, sir?

I'm not certain myself but the fact the system is staying on is a good indicator. If nobody has a definitive solution you'll at least be able to pull your data off. This isn't ransomware.

I'd like to see if this is just a super childish easy to fix problem:

1) Go to your start menu and type "%appdata%" then hit enter.

Navigate to:

Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Is anything in there? Anything ending in .bat?

Beyond this you can try running your anti-virus but if it didn't go off initially I wouldn't expect it to go off now.

I visited the page in question on a Linux VM. The page isn't showing me anything strange but that doesn't mean it didn't try to in the background. The link here is to an presumably official site. Are you certain that link he gave you isn't a hyperlink to somewhere else?

Like this for example: https://www.google.com/

He could have sent you somewhere else to an automated script that did something to your computer.

Nope. Nothing but a shortcut. But the shortcut is for a program I already uses, so it's not sus. No .bat extensions.

Maybe so. I can't look back at it, as I deleted the message from that discord channel, and I don't have access to the logs. But 99% I think that happened. I didn't look close at the url preview thingy that shows up in the grey box on the bottom right.
