Way back ~15 years ago, the advice was always to go nvidia for Linux since AMD drivers were a nightmare for one reason or another, but over the last 5 years or so I've seen a complete reversal of that.  I can't confirm one way or the other though personally.  In fact last I tried Linux on my Fury, it was literally impossible to remove tearing making for an unusable joke of an experience.  On my Intel iGPU, I have not had the same issue (the "tearfree" flag actually works)

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

For nvidia it's really just one command in the console and a reboot and you're good to go.

Currently using a GTX 970 on my Manjaro i3 installation.

Installed using:

sudo mhwd -a pci nonfree 0300

AMD drivers are now built into the kernel.

Just make sure you use a kernel new enough to support your gpu

System specs:

4790k

GTX 1050

16GB DDR3

Samsung evo SSD

a few HDD's
