Hi all! I'm looking into making a PC. This will be my first time stepping into the PC gaming world and I want to get a good starting point! With the help of videos and one of my more tech savvy friends I've put together a list of parts that I think should work together! But just to be safe thought there would be no harm posting it here to get loads of other opinions and thought! So I'm UK based, building it to mainly game (so long as I get decent experience on new AAA titles I'm happy starting here) I will be looking at future updates as needed.

I do have a preference to AMD and the radeon GPU as the monitor is apparently more compatible with it ? I may be wrong but it's also cheaper and lowers the cost by a bit. I'm spreading it over 2 months getting most of the cheaper parts in November and then the GPU PSU HDD and motherboard in December. Any reassurance that this will work once put together would be mega or if you see any fault in the plan the even better!!

Thanks for reading this time and bearing with an idiot! :D

Motherboard: After going back over and checking with the motherboard I saw that the one I originally put in wasn't compatible with 3rd Gen Ryzen so I had to swap it out in favour for the one that's now in there. This will also allow for more room to upgrade in the future though to a better CPU

* After looking up some reviews on it I found a comparison between this MoBo and 4 others and this did the worst so I now gone with the best resulting one at a slightly higher price but still offering a better upgrade path and cooler overall PC

Case: I changed the case as it's a slightly better model, just in white, and it's cheaper by about £30 as well

Monitor: There was some false information on amazon for the monitor about it being 144hz so I now changed it to the current Acer listed
