Hello, so a friend of mine told me about this forum and i need help.Im using Hp Compaq laptop and last night i restarted it, when it turned on a bubble poped up saying a toshiba sata disk device was installed, i dont think its right for a hp laptop to have a toshiba driver, on top of that the thingy u put cds in makes this weird sound like its loading something or dont know, it is empty i checked twice.

Im using windows 7 64 bit ( i think)

Hp doesn't make hard drives, they have to get them from someone that does. It's not a problem at all.

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

It's fine. It could have just been a SATA chipset update.

And yeah, HP doesn't make HDDs, so it's normal it's a Toshiba drive.
