Hey all.

After upgrading my PC i am experiencing freezes. My computer locks and I can't move mouse or hit any key. All i can do is to force reset on hitting the power button.

My specs are:

I was successfully able to run multiple benchmarks:

https://www.3dmark.com/fs/20681140

https://www.3dmark.com/spy/8860091

Cinebench20: 3183 points

Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool: ALL pass

Prime95 works just fine.

AIDA64 ran with no problems

'Heavy load' wan with no problems too

However, when I try to play a game like 'Satisfactory' or render a video using Premiere Pro. My pc just freezes, and I have to hard reset it.

I monitored all temps, and they are all below 70ºC. My power supply is P1-750B-BEFX.

I was able to maybe rule out Memory sticks (tried with different sticks) and GPU, tried with my old 1060. All those tests resulted in freezing too. I also tried with multiple NVIDIA drivers after doing DDU and no luck.

I don't know exactly what is triggering the freezing, since it happens on diff applications at random moments.

I would appreciate any help! thanks guys

EDIT: Heavy load benchmark worked fine too: this was the condition of the CPU during the test

Check the Event Manager in Windows and see if there is any Error.

gonna be those 4 sticks of ram at 8gb each , remove all but a single stick of ram then run the tests again to see if it stabilizes

Ok! I will try! I tried running 2 of them earlier and I still got a freeze, Running a single one wouldn't hurt! will try and let you know the results

I doubt its the PSU, that would normaly cause the PC to go black insteand and not a Freeze. My first guess would be the RAM. Since RAM doesnt use the same clusters each time, a freeze/crash can happen after 10 minutes or after 2 hours. I would run memtest (not memtest86).

Run it, enter 1024 and start testing. run it again the same way. start as many times till you reach your total RAM.

This will take several hours, so i would run it over night.

Ok, I removed 3 of the 4 memory sticks and so far no freezing. My question is, could this be due to overheating? they were super close together, and when I removed them they were hot to the touch (idk how how, but i couldn't hold them on the heat sinks.

If the overheating is not the problem, then what could it be? voltage on the mobo? all settings are factory default.
