Will this bottleneck?

I have a dell inspiron 17 5770 laptop with an intel i5 core 8250U and 8GB of ram. I was thinking about doing some upgrades that will allow me to do some 1080p gaming. The memory is removable so I am thinking of putting 16GB  2 x 8GB 3200Mhz kit in place of the old ram and getting an Aorus GeForce RTX 2070 game box egpu to boost graphics. Is this a good idea? Will I bottleneck?

Does it have thunderbolt 3 with 4 PCI-e lanes?

If you're only doing 1080p 60hz gaming just grab a $100-120 used RX 580 8GB, or RX 590 new if they're cheap now

Those cards are fine for 1080p, and you start to run out of bandwidth with higher end GPUs, wouldn't suggest going above an RX 5700, which can be had for $299 right now with a blower cooler, has about the 2070's performance.

You don't need the 3200mhz laptop RAM as it's unlikely to clock that high.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
