Hi Everybody,

I got a hold of a few obsolete computer parts and I want to make a build out of it just for fun.  The only thing that I didn't get was a case.  The motherboard's form factor is SSI-TEB and I couldn't find any cases that support that form factor.  So I did some research and found that SSI-TEB and SSI-EEB are the same dimensions.  My question is, will an SSI-TEB motherboard be able to be mounted in a case that supports SSI-EEB?

Thanks

can we get a link? also what socket 2011-0?

mind you just as a warning @Vitalius bought a server grade motherboard which was advertised as a atx form factor however i told him that it was not the case as the pcie dimensions didn't fit within an atx form factor so his raid cards aren't running correctly installed in his case

Yes, I already have.  Is that bad?

Well yes and no

yes because the status is 'end of life' no more manufacturing these boards or processors so finding one will be hard and second hand unfortunately

No because because   i don"t know how to explain it.

About that...

The problem wasn't the motherboard or the case. It was the cards themselves. They were UIO (Universal Input Output) form factor. They were basically flipped.

Kinda. Same dimensions =/= same form factor. The screw holes probably won't line up. The PCI-e slots might.

That's what I want to know. If the screw holes for the standoffs are the same as an SSI-EEB board.

I got the board brand new and I have both of the processors for it along with all the FBdimms I need. What's hard to explain?

never mind so you basically have the processor/(s) and the motherboard pretty much new right? would you want to buy ecc memory (it costs a lot more the generic normal memory) also get a compatible memory that is reliable and is the one compliant with it. DDR2/DDR3

will you be running either raid 0/1 it says on the intel board that it is upgradeable to raid 5 not sure how though myself
