GPU performance with Multi screen

If I use 2 screens for gaming with NVIDIA Surround to have 2 screens as one, does the GPU take more memory/performance and does the FPS go down when I play with resolution 3840 x 1080 instead of 1929 x 1080

Performance does lower significantly
