I have an asrockb450 pro 4 with bios p3.30, an msi rtx 2080 oc 8gb, ryzen 7 3700x, and four sticks of ddr4 3200 gskill ram, also I have a seasonic 650 whatt 80+ gold. My problem is my ram will not get 3200 stable and autos to 1866, and when I manage to get it to post or boot it freezes at random times (anywhere from five minutes to an hour). Can someone help me solve this also the computer beep once after shutting down (with no speaker) and the cpu autos to 1.10000 v. And won’t even boot unless I have it at least 1.25 or more

manually set the ram speed and latency and voltage written on the side of the ram sticks in your bios. if it is still not stable try to push a little more voltage than stock till it is stable.

what software are you using to get this number? The lowest should be 2133, 1866 sounds like a single data rate

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

i assume you have enabled D.O.C.P./XMP

usually ram should default to 2133Mhz so 1866Mhz is pretty odd

have you tried only using one stick of your memory, one after the other, and see if there is a problem with one of your sticks?

that would explain that weird number, but that would also result to the PC "auto to a stable" 3732Mhz ^^

I have xmp off because even with it on I tried 2133 it will sometimes boot but then it freezes also I tried 1 with 3200 and it booted but froze later

Thats the number in the bios

do you have other XMP profiles like 2800 or something?

so you just enabled XMP, didnt touch any other option and it crashes?

Yea other then setting the cpu to 1.25

well i guess that there is someting wrong with either one or more of your ram sticks or your mobos ddr4 slots. thats the only thing that would make sense in my mind.

are you sure that it is the ram causing your random shutdowns and not something else like cpu temps getting too hot?

does your machine just freeze and turn off? is there any bluescreen or errormessage?

EDIT: also: do you have any other ram you could try to use? a different 3200 kit would be optimal

also also: try updating your bios. i read a few threads over at the asrock forums now and there, according to them, was a faulty m.2 implementation which caused weird ram behavior (how ever that goes together is beyond me)

and make sure to test each stick individually.

gotta go to bed now ^^ hope to read everything worked out well in the morning

Okay guys so far everything is working the way I want it, I am assuming that the reason was a dead ram stick in a2 because I tried the same one by itself and it froze after a bit now I’m using the other sticks I bought of the same brand and it seems to work
