Where is the cpu voltage(the one you change in the bios with the offset option) in hwinfo?

Under the cpu or mobo section?

not sure, but the correct one has "SVI2" in the name

Are you sure? Because i undervolted(-0.1v) my 2400g cuz at auto the voltage was hovering about 1.38v and there's no way it is running at 1.1v under load.

Performance is the same since cinebench score has not changed.

it could be wrong if your chipset driver, BIOS or HWinfo64 isn't up to date, but otherwise it is correct. SVI2 means it's the on-die sense reading.

Maybe it's the CPU VDD instead of CPU VCORE?

Yeah maybe it's because of the bios....but the vcore changes when i enter nee values in bios. Not sure though

There is no VDD (or VID, whatever they call it) for SVI2 since it's an expected number, not measured.

 

@EL02 of course changing the offset affects actual voltage, otherwise it would be pointless

One quick question. When i oc my ram to 3000mhz 1.25v, the core voltage jumps up by 0.02. Is this normal? Do i have to set an offset?

probably just in response to increased amount of work it's doing. More performance = more voltage to be stable, even if the frequency is the same

I dont wanna go higher in voltage because the cpu is already at 1.36-1.38v under load(thats a bit too high for a a320 board, tried offset but for some reason it doesnt show any changes in hwinfo).

Im talking about that too. I can go higher in memory speeds if i increase the voltage, but it will also automatically increase the cpu core voltage and i dont want that.

lower down the offset then. Worst is it crashes and you need to back off the CPU frequency. Do overclock the memory further after this or it will be pointless

I set it yesterday at -0.1v and it didnt crash, benchmark results were a bit lower though.

Also hwinfo doesnt show the change in cpu core voltage. It shows 1.36-1.38 even when i change the offset.

maybe cheap a320 boards do odd things then. They arent meant for CPU overclocking anyways

Yeah....that might be the reason. The bios has some GUI problems too.

In my country they arent cheap by any means.

The one with the red arrow usually stays at 1.35v and spikes up to more than 1.4 when opening a program. But the one in the mobo section does change. Im so confused now.....
