I need help with RAM (and I'm a bit shy to ask) ...

Go to solution Solved by OnionFromOrion,

The RAM should be in the B2 and A2 slot or the A1 and B1 slot. So there would an empty slot in between each RAM stick. Afterwards you need to enable XMP in BIOS to get the full performance out of your RAM. Googled image for reference

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen (and Linus) ...

Someone from this forum told me that my RAM slotting is a bit wrong and I want to fix it too.
I finally got some free time tomorrow and want to do it but don't know the right way.

1. Can you guys tell me the right way to do the slotting and its settings?
2. Is it a good idea to add another RAMs (just in case Chrome decided to kill my PC)?

I'm using the following in the build,

CPU : Ryzen 5 3600X

GPU : Radeon RX 5700XT

RAM : 16GB (8x2) Corsair DDR4 3200 MHz
Motherboard : X570 Phantom Gaming 4

1st Pic : The RAM in using

2nd Pic : 1st and 2nd slot in using

3rd Pic : (Somebody help me)

Any sort of ideas are welcome.

Please masters, I need your wisdom.

Thanks you. I'll try the slot changing first. I'm not sure where XMP setting is in BIOS but I'll poke around google and do that too. ❤️

The slot changing will improve the performance of your CPU,

And @OnionFromOrion is correct about the positioning and XMP,

XMP allows your memory to run at it's rated speed,

From your picture it's clear that your memory runs at 2133MHz at the moment,XMP will allow it to run at 3200MHz.

The difference in performance between the two speeds is big.

Also 13,314 Yen is expensive for 16GB 3200MHz memory,I bought my Crucial Ballistix Sport AT 2x8GB 3200MHz a week ago for 8,468 Yen.

@Vishera I'm looking forward for it.

I also look for the RAM but can't find the right site that's selling those.
Can you link me something, please?

Yes what they've said is right...and its writing on the manual at 2.3 ...as for enabling xmp should be in the oc tweaker tab...

You won't find it in Japan, but this 2x8GB Patriot Viper Steel 3200MHz memory kit for 9,000 Yen is pretty good from Amazon Japan:
