I need help with RAM (and I'm a bit shy to ask) ...

The RAM should be in the B2 and A2 slot or the A1 and B1 slot. So there would an empty slot in between each RAM stick. Afterwards you need to enable XMP in BIOS to get the full performance out of your RAM. Googled image for reference
