PSU Extension Cable Help

Okay so i'm upgrading my PC and i'm looking at a new Semi-modular PSU (Corsair CX650) and i was wondering if there was a PSU extension cable set that would work for this Power Supply or what cables to put in a custom set of cable extensions. Thank you!

What's your current PC?

Extension cables will fit on any power supply.

If you're using extensions then you should be able to use any extension set you find.  Connections at the motherboard and other components are standardized so connections to an extension will be universal.  It's at the PSU that the connections are proprietary.

Instead of spending money on a PSU and extension cables, why not get a fully modular PSU and a new cable set?

 

Also, CX650 is not a semi-modular PSU.  The cables are fixed.  The CX650M, however, is semi-modular.

I have a prebuilt right now but am planing to upgrade and replace everything but the CPU

PSU Cables require a modular power supply to run the power cable from the power supply to the component.

Extension cables only extend the current cables that come from a non-modular PSU.

 

Both of these options are in two different price ranges (Extensions being the cheaper option)
