I currently have an i5 7600k for my vr gaming and im running into a cpu bottle neck. I have also a nividia 1070. should i switch to ryzen 5 2600 for my vr gaming

the i5 7600k is better for VR than the 2600 due to faster single threaded performance, and VR titles generally are not able to leverage many cores. Are you sure you are being bottlenecked by your CPU?

yes my gpu is at like 40% and my cpu on 100%

Doesn't necessarily mean you're bottlenecking, it could just be a CPU-heavy game.

 

 

If I were you I'd buy an i7 instead of a whole new platform. If this was a new system I'd suggest Ryzen but since it's an upgrade, just stick with Intel for now.

That's a cpu bottleneck.

I say get a 2600 for 2 extra cores and 8 more threads.

so i can't afford an i7 so save up for an i7 or cause i can afford an ryzen 2600 now
