212 evo

not this even if you want a cheap air cooler... Get the Black instead for the better mounting frame.

but for light overclocks (most benefit come from memory overclocking in the first place) the stock cooler is enough. The 3600 pulls noticeably less power than the 2600 that has the same Wraith Stealth.

I'LL second Hyper212 Black. costs ~25USD, and definitely keeps a 3600 under sixty degrees after 30mins of AIDA64.

And that silencio fan is quiet-silent. Very good price-to-performance ratio

the hyper 212 black $35 and the rgb is $39. not sure if that makes a difference but im just exploring options

im going to tune the memory and, i was gonna buy a CL 16, 3600mz kit but it sold out. Gonna buy cl 17 and just tune that up. im not sure if upgrading from a stock cooler to a 39$ 212 rgb is worth it, in that price are there better options? is it even worth the light overclocking id get. Are big overclocks even worth it because of the boost function?

The Hyper 212 Evo and Hyper 212 RGB BE are different coolers. They're both from the Hyper 212 series which includes several other coolers.

Hyper 212 is a large family, from the original 212, to the 212 Evo, 212X (two fans) and last the black and black RGB (which is just the black with RGB fan).

ill try playing around with the stock cooler and seeing whats up. you have any experience with the ryzen master stuff?

no, but I still prefer using the BIOS if I get the system. Just feels better this way

If you want a complete list, there's also the  Hyper 212 Plus, Evo EU ver. (lower rpm),LED,  LED Turbo, and 212X EU ver.

Also, I just realized that the two fan version of the 212X is officially called the 212X Turbo. https://coolermaster.egnyte.com/fl/AKJeAia3Hz#folder-link/Cooler Master/4. Thermal/1. Air Cooling/Hyper Series

I've been referring to it as the Dual Fan version this up till this point since that's the name I've seen in shops online.
