PHANTEKS Universal Controller Issue?

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

The 4pin headers provide a 12v pwm signal which results in 100% rpm for non-pwm 2-3pin fans. You can't control 3pin fans from the 4pin headers.

I just recently purchased a PHANTEKS Universal Fan Controller, I used the motherboard control option and set my fan curve for "sys_fan_4", which I plugged "input" into. Four fans are at full speed, two are slower but in sync with each other, and my audio seems to be surging?? Any idea what in the world is going on and how would I go about trouble shooting / fixing this problem? To be clear it feels like I have no control over the system. Also my 6 fans I plugged into the hub are all 3 prong, which isn't PWM, BUT it is still advertised to work based on motherboard sync that allows it to respond to, in my case, temperature. According to my curve for sys_fan_4 , I should be at 600rpm, its more like 1500+ if I had to guess.

Something I forgot to add, the two at lower rpm, in sync, are the one plugged into 3-pin fan slot and FAN1 slot. The rest are in 4 PIN slots.
