Really hoping someone can help me out here, because I'm pulling my hair out over here. I figured what better place to get help than at LTT.

I have been building systems for years. I recently put together a build for a 14 year old's birthday present. The build contains the part list here: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/SwoRNLeaDejZ/saved/Z3Hb8d

So the build went fine, everything was perfect. When I went for the first boot, there was no image on the screen. So I started to troubleshoot. When the system is booting, the motherboard has a series of LEDs that cycle during the boot process. CPU, DRAM, GPU, boot device. It goes through all of them fine and the boot device light stays on. Windows isn't installed, so not surprising. So to rule out a faulty graphics card, I popped in a GTX 970 I have, and low and behold, the system boots, posts, and everything is great. So it must be a dead graphics card. Weird, but whatever, not unheard of. So we RMA the graphics card through Amazon.

Just got the replacement card today. Installed it, booted it... And... Nothing. No image on screen again. So now I'm convinced it's got nothing to do with the graphics card and must be something else, right? What are the odds we got two dead graphics cards? Impossible right? There is a blue LED above the power connector on the graphics card that is illuminated, so I'm assuming it's getting power. My 970 was fine.

To note: I stuck the first 570 into my personal rig to confirm it was dead and it resulted in the same thing. No image on screen. That's why I assumed it was dead. Haven't tried that with the replacement yet, but I'm all ears.

Sorry about the link, not sure why it's private. Try this one?
