Yes that works, just plug them in and they will show up.

Perhaps you have to right click your desktop > change resolution and switch around the monitors (depending on what is on the left and right).

 

DVI splitters often just duplicate the image

My father is running 2 4K screens of a 1050TI, it works fine, he doesn't game.
