Hi

I'm having problems in many games where I get low FPS, while also having low GPU and CPU usage. I have no idea what is bottlenecking my system, and any help would be appreciated.

I'm using new laptop- asus fx505du

Windows 10 home 64-bit

Ryzen 7 3750H

Nvidia GTX 1660TI

16 GB DDR4 2666hz

all drivers up to date

no over heat

no cpu errors on prime95

no power saving

what can I do about it?

I know single vs dual channel can be a BIG performance difference, could it be this? Did you install the drivers yourself, is there any screen tearing? Is there anything that seems a bit off with the system? Is disk read/write usage high? Maybe check CPU clock settings in BIOS, if any.

no screen tearing

and the system work a little slow then expected [but maybe its just me]

and what do I need to check in the BIOS? im not an expert XD

I suppose you don't need to check the BIOS to see CPU info, task manager should work, it's only if you need to fix something that you would need the BIOS. What you're checking for is if the CPU is reaching the frequencies it's advertised to reach, if it isn't, that's your problem. If the CPU looks normal, then Windows might be the problem, only things you can do then is; (1.) Rollback any updates (2.) Reinstall Windows. I heard quite a while ago that Windows updates can cause performance issues, hopefully they'd fixed that by now.

Possibly a hardware issues, if it has multiple memory sticks try each one individually.

If you wanna try Linux for trouble shooting:

Maybe try PopOS 19.04 (the nvidia version) on a spare hard drive or USB stick (you can install linux on a USB drive like its a normal hard drive, not just live media, if you didn't know, just make sure not to select your main drive while partitioning), play around a bit and see if the performance issues are still there. PopOS usually has a tiny bit of stutter for stuff like web browsers, just keep that in mind, the reason why would make this 10x more complicated.

...or maybe you just got a faulty product if it's always been like that. You could return it, or try swapping in a new motherboard if that's cheaper.

first of all tnx for the respone

today at work I used DDU to uninstall the GPU driver and reinstall it, after I did it I saw that windows have another update for me so I restart and the bios updated by himself and I think that solved my problem

on the game Greedfall I do use 99% of the GPU [dont get the best FPS but at least I know that I use my hardwere] but on borderlands 3 I still use 60~ %, I think the game is the problem

I need to install more games to check it
