Get yourself a used rx580 from kijiji or the like I got an msi 8gb rx580 for 125$(cad) the other day. If it clunks out no worries just get it RMA'ed. I know MSI, Gigabyte, EVGA & ASUS do not require orginal proof of purchase (in case the seller cannot provide).

It appears I made the right choice I got the RX 580 8gb for a little over budget and other than an issue of the driver having a bit of an installation mishap (Microsoft Visual C++ not up to date) it has worked out great so far.
