Any way to benchmark iPad battery?

GrannyDane

I just bought a “Manufacturer refurbished” iPad Pro 9.7 off of eBay, and apparently the battery life doesn’t seem right. Upon regular use, I feel like it has about the same battery life as my XR, lasting little more than a day without being plugged in. The battery health function isn’t supported on iPad, and I can’t find any battery health app that can give accurate wear level. Any idea how to figure out whether I got a crappy battery?

If you contact Apple Support, they are able to run a remote battery diagnostic and can tell you the exact status of the battery.

Good to know! I’m contacting them right now.

I just chatted with a person, and she says there’s no remote test that she can run. Maybe because I wasn’t doing it on support app?

I found a program for PC called “iMazing” that claims to check battery wear level, and it says it’s at 90% wear level. Maybe it is supposed to last just this much.
