Hello, I've recently had some bad experience with my motherboard as it had fried or malfunctioned and I'm not sure whether it's timing but it stopped working just as I stopped flipping the power switch on my psu off after turning off my computer, is flipping the power switch on my psu off after turning off my computer needed? The mobo is an asus h81m-c

no, and it's also bad for the PSU. Can you test your system with a friend's set of components like some borrowed ram or a power supply?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

I've already swapped psu and mobo and it seems to be working for now, but I was thinking if I need healthy habits to prevent them from frying it's also handy to note I only play 2 days a week, usually on weekends

as long as you don't let your components overheat, and don't switch your PSU off when you shut the PC off, you should be pretty fine.

So keep everything on? Even during my 5 inactive days of the week? Not even unplugging from the wall socket

don't keep it on, just shut the PC off with the power button or shut down from windows. Leave it plugged in with the switch up, it'll keep the capacitors inside the PSU from fluctuating in charge more than they need to. Not that unplugging it ever is forbidden, but doing it as little as possible is ideal.
