Upgrade from iPhone X

Hello !

So it’s been almost 2 years since I got my iPhone X and I love it, I could keep it but the front and rear glass are totally shattered and it’s a real bummer. I would like to keep this phone but it’s like a ~300$ repair. 
I need your advice, do you think it’s better to keep this phone shattered for one more year and wait for the next iPhone 2020, repair this iPhone and keep it longer or switch to Android ?

I’m a photographer and I really value image quality and screen accuracy. I’d also like my phone to be decently fast even 3 years later. First I tough the Pixel 3 was a right choice but it’s really expensive and laggy, from the reviews I saw this phone is not fast at all. I was thinking maybe about getting the OnePlus 7 when the OP 7T rolls out but I really don’t know. 
Before my iPhone I had a OP 2 (and it was horribly laggy) and I think I can switch from iOS to android pretty easily even tho it’s really annoying. 

I don’t give myself a budget I just wanna know the options available

No your not. Photographers use dedicated photography equipment.

I have a camera but when I don’t I shoot and edit on my phone and its perfectly fine when you Master the tools

I just cracked my Note 9 like three months ago so can relate. Since you don't want to buy the new iPhone you're better off getting it fixed and waiting a few years imo.

 

I bought mine used the cost of fixing it was worth nearly half the phone so it wasn't worth it.

please, as a Chinese, I really don't suggest you buying a HUAWEI. Their hardware is awesome, but EMUI is one the most horrible Android ROMs you could possibly meet.

Since you didn't show any sign that you'll choose the iPhone 11 series, I suggest you having your iPhone X fixed and wait for later iOS or Android devices. Android 10 and iOS 13 are both kinda "not-big-but-important" updates, even though switching between Android and iOS is getting easier and easier thanks to the growing number of cloud services, imo you should stick with iPhone if you do want your phone to be reasonable smooth after long period of usage- if you're not familiar with Android tricks like flash a new ROM or install Magisk modules.

Or you should just give iPhone 11 a look, it might be better than your prediction.

I would get it repaired and either keep it or upgrade in 2020, the camera improvements in the 11 pro are pretty fantastic but like you said earlier, the 11 pro isn't a justifiable upgrade from other X series phones.
