So hi guys I am new here. I have an 5 yrs old HP i5 and GTX 940m laptop. I recently upgraded my laptop to ssd. The guy who upgraded my laptop said that the GPU is on the verge. So he told me not to put any pressure to it. And I play lot of games like apex to high end, obviously at low settings. So if I just continued playing whats will be the life span of my laptop and if something goes wrong with my GPU will it affect the ssd. And the guy suggested that he could replace GPU but for high cost. I know it's better to go for a new laptop. But can anyone suggest me whether upgrading my gpu is a good option. And if it's a good option what is the best one to go for. Thanks.

He's lying to you and trying to scam you. Do not trust scam artists. He can't upgrade your card or replace it in his garage. He needs a ton of expensive equipment to even attempt a BGA swap and the BIOS would reject any other cars so it's a massive lie. Take your laptop for inspection by a proper technician to make sure the scam artist hasn't damages it intentionally. If he has, sue his asa
