Hey I’m planing on building a new gaming pc but I can’t pick which cpu I should go with for gaming should I go with the 3400g that’s close/equal to the 2400 and has Vega graphics on top of that which would make stuff easy to diagnose a problem or should I go with the 2600x with no Vega graphics I also plan to put it a gtx 1660 in the computer the 2600x is pretty cheap on amazon for 150$ while the 3400g comes at 140$

For games i think 2600x is better than 3400g. Please keep in mind that the 3400g is not ryzen 3rd gen, instead of 2nd gen with a integrated gpu.

Same as the 2400g which is 1st gen at heart.

The X variant is the overclocked version, so it would outperform the regular clocked ones.

If you plan to have or already have a GPU, you won't need the integrated one.

if you're worried about diagnosing, go find a cheap $10 gpu for emergency.

sacrificing 2 (overclocked) cores is not a good excuse for igpu.
