So this is really off topic lol, but i don't know where to seek for help. I recently bought SSD, installed Windows into it, reformatted old HDD, but i did back up files, including Mass Effect save files. I installed Mass Effect into my old HDD, but when I run it, it doesn't recognize my save files, and it only allows me to start new game. Why doesn't it recognize my save files? Do I have to copy my Save folder somewhere else, because right now it is located in Users/Documents/Bioware

my first thought would be to let it start a new game, and create a new set of files. Then go and copy/paste yours into whatever folder it makes.

@AHaskin14 Is correct you have to start a new game so it creates a new save game file then you will replace the newly created game save in the game files with your old save game/profile and it should work.

I tried it, started a new game and it created new save files in docs folder, and when i copy/pasted my old save files into new ones, nothing really changed, as a matter of fact, i couldnt load any save, i had to start a new game again
