what is Antimalware Service Executable

i just installed windows 10 just now and i have never seen this in my time of using windows 10 before

and its taking up anywhere from 0.01% of my cpu to taking up 25% most of the time no clue why this is a thing but its for sure making performance bad for gaming when a game takes up a big amount and then you have

Antimalware Service Executable taking up what it does and making it harder for games to run

That would most likely be the built in Anti Virus.

Antimalware Service Executable taking up what it does and making it harder for games to run 

It's an executable program used to perform actions against malware installed as a Windows Service. Or in plain English, it's Windows Defender that's built into the PC, and while it does scan things to keep your PC safe from time to time, it shouldn't constantly be scanning, unless you've recently installed new apps or updates, or downloaded a lot of files recently. Do you have an HDD or SSD for your Windows boot drive?

Good, was just checking to make sure you didn't have a spinning rust disk as your boot drive, as that would slow things down considerably.
