Hey all!

I'm looking to completely change careers to something dealing with computers. I'm not sure weather it'll have to do with software, hardware, combining it with administrator duties or UX/UI stuff because I need exposure to it all.

*I know just enough about anything tech to use it properly and mess things up

In order to get exposure I need to get a new laptop to play around with things. Mine is currently on its last leg and about 5 yrs old. Are there any recommendations?

Also if anyone is willing to help guide me through some things it'll be greatly appreciated. I watch linus's vids all the time and figure with would be a great community to get back into anything computer related.

Thanks!

You will need to go to a college/university and take a course in whatever field you want to get into. General "exposure" will not cut it in the IT world

That's the plan. But, I figured the general exposure would at least let me figure out what I wanted to go to school for, correct?
