My current PC build

i7 7700k @ 4.6 GHz
GTX 1070 ti Aero

2x8 DDR4 3000 MHz GB Corsair Vengeance

Asus Z-270A Motherboard

Corsair 680 W Power Supply

Recently I got a new power supply from corsair because my old one decided it didn't want to work anymore. I re-installed windows after I had put my case back together and now I am having severe issues with FPS compared to before I added the power supply and re-installed windows. I will use CS:GO as a baseline for this because it is a fairly easy game to run. In the past I would consistently run at 250-300, however now I am maxing out at 100 and dropping into the 50's. This makes the game almost unplayable for me as I am used to 144hz. I tried to overclock my GPU using MSI Afterburner to see if that was the issue, however that didn't seem to do anything at all. All of my parts are fairly new, purchased around a year ago, and they have been performing perfect for me in the past. I know for sure that this is not a throttling issue because my CPU maxes out at load around 85 C during a benchmark, and my GPU maxes at around 75 C.

did you make sure to plug monitor into the GPU, not the motherboard?

pull the cmos battery for a while, reapply your settings, see if that helps

My GPU load is at around 7% peaking at 10%

I know CS:GO is a very CPU heavy game, not much so on the GPU

I also play on the lowest settings on 4:3 at 1280x960

did u plug in the pciue power into the gpu?
