I have this as a build I want to buy (Already have a PSU Corsair 1000W platinum), just wondering if anyone has any last minute ideas on this?

go from a 2080 super to a 2080 ti, you seem to have the cash to make it happen

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

Thank you although that is nearly £500 more where I am I don't believe the performance scales to that effect? Correct me if I am wrong?

It's an 11% increase in build price for a similar increase in gaming performance, seems like good scaling to me.

so hyperthreading is 1 thing, and it's cheaper. if you want something for the same price as 9900k go 3900x

Thank you Gregger and 5x5, may I ask why you think that in regards to the CPU? Benefits if you have the time to explain? Sorry, thank you in advance buddy :D

It's 1am here but in short, the 3700X is nearly identical.in performance, uses less power,.runs.much cooler,.offers an upgrade.path since AM4 will likely support Zen3 next year and Zen2 has 12 and 16 core CPUs on it. Ryzen CPUs also don't suffer from the severe security issues on Intel CPUs like meltdown. And the 3900X literally has 50% more cores for the same money.

Thank you I will take a further look into this and see if it fits the budget overall with taking the CPU suggestions into consideration too :)

Thank you guys, something for me to research more into it seems! Very helpful though so will have a look in the morning and see what looks like a good fit for me!! Having 12 cores and 24 threads looks like a good bet though ?

yes, if you do save money by buying the 3700X it would be a great idea to get a 2080 ti.
