High GPU Usage

Hey Guys,

 

Recently I have been running into an issue where "Desktop Windows Manger" will eat up my GPU resources, does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? I've already reinstalled windows to try resolve this

It will randomly spike for no reason

So? Desktop is gpu accelerated, it may use gpu sometimes. Any temperatures too high?

Its making my FPS in game really for, Ill get around 30-50 FPS with an RTX on GTA V and R6, sometimes that process will go up to 80%

Then analyzing what is wrong may be difficult. It may be driver problem (probably) but also some 3rd party tool. You may check running/starting applications and services using Autoruns. Also - check some windows settings related to games (like game mode etc).

Try to roll back updates, GPU driver first. I that doesn't help it might be a Windows problem (a recent update or smth).
