Screen freeze

Hello. Recently i've had an annoyance with my pc. every couple minutes it keeps freezing for a few secs and then it goes back to working normally. It only started recently and im out of ideas.
I've already updated drivers checked for settings that might be wrong in Nvidias control panel and on game settings. 
Pc specs:
i7-8700K

16 GB DDR4 2400Mhz
GTX 1080
