hello fellow ePiC gAmErS. so, school just started, and im typing this on my dads laptop. yeah, i do not want to borrow my dads laptop for the entire school year, especially because dont have a phone rn. anyways, since school started, i need a good laptop for "homework" and "research". im asking for a free laptop.

nah, just joking. my parents (im 11) said they will buy me any laptop i pick if its 500 or under. do you guys have any reccomendations for laptops? one need is definitely a back lit keyboard. rgb would be cool, but i really just need backlit because normally afterschool is packed with random clubs and guitar/saxaphone classes, so i do a lot of stuff after dark. i would be fine with getting a used laptop, if you have a link to one or maybe you have one and can meetup around dallas/dfw/denton tx. dont need a numpad, or a mouse/mousepad bundle, because i used to have a laptop (cat spilled all my fuck*ng ramen noodles on it) so i already bought that stuff. another need is for it to at least be able to run minecraft. i dont care for fortnite (because fortnite is the video game version of an alley dumpster fire). just something that could run some steam/itch.io games. thanks a ton :))))) epic gamer OUT

edit: battery life at least 6 hours, idk about weight just something not too heavy i guess, and display size probably about 15" - 18"

If it's still a thing, look at Walmart laptops. As far as I remember, they did cost somewhere around 500-600 USD.

Also some guidelines: minimum 8 GB of RAM (ideally 16), some sort of SSD and dGPU with GDDR5. CPU is something that needs to be not bad, so intel Core 4th gen minimum with 4 cores.

Purify your Windows 10/11, don't give Microsoft anything that you don't want to share.
