Something up to 5.5"

I was browsing for new phones and why the hell are they making phones with 6" displays and bigger. I wanted to get something  from xiaomi but most of top phones are with this crazy size. Is there anything  under 5.5" thats worth looking at? 5.2 would be ideal but i dont see any phones with that size... its just insane.

i'm assuming the display only that shows the actual content not including the body.

most phones that is smaller have lower specs and you might not like it.
