old mac pro can't get into recovery mode

i've got an old mac pro running mac os x 10.6.8 and i want to turn it into a server. the problem is that this mac pro has a lot of bloatware in it, and i can't reinstall mac os using the recovery mode. i checked my disk list in terminal and there is no partition for the recovery mode as well. when i try to go into internet recovery, it seems to not work. at first i thought it was my keyboard, since im using a pc keyboard, but it's perfectly fine. any help would be much appreciated

The recovery partition was not introduced until 10.7. You'll need to boot from an install disc or USB.
