Afternoon all involved.

I have been using the same DELL Workstation I bought a decade ago and am at the point where nothing more can be upgraded to keep even Minecraft running at 60. I have compiled a list of my build components I have decided upon thus-far. I live in Colorado U.S.A. at the moment, and am looking to set aflame about $1,500 USD for the purposes of this new tower. I am an engineer and avid gamer, and this computer is for my home, so such tasks will include spreadsheets, CAD, and the usual library of PC games. I plan to use it on one screen, at 4k, but have yet to actually choose a screen, that is not the point of this post but it will one day need to be addressed, and I already have decent peripherals. None of this build has been purchased or set in stone, and I am open to tweaking.

Current Design:

CPU: Intel i7-9700K

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15

GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 Super (Original Nvidia Board)

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB of DDR4-3600 (4-8GB cards)

Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus Ultra (Z390 Chipset)

Storage: -

Power Supply: -

Case: -

OS: Windows 10 Pro

As you all can see I am most of the way there, but have hit a wall with my CPU and its cooling. I am worried about clearance of the enormous Noctua for the ram slots. My holdup on storage is I am only really familiar with mechanical drives and am trying to choose a decent 1TB SSD, however am having trouble discerning the best brands and connections for the drive. The power supply, I am more than likely going to go with a corsair unit, and choose it after I know more about my case, which I don't even know where to start on. In general, I am opposed to water cooling and trying to do 100% air cooling on this, so cases more conducive to that, and advice about airflow and fan orientation are very welcome. I am not very big into RGB on my tower, so that has not been a consideration up to this point in the build.

Many thanks everyone!

Update 1:

Based upon some research on Noctua's website, seems like the NH-D15 should be able to sit on my motherboard without interfering with ram.
