Everyone I've talked to always seems to prefer Sennheiser over any competing headset out there. I personally have A40's that I primarily bought to be used with my Xbox 360 and PC (can be used on both systems at the same time). When purchasing the Astro's A40 you're paying more for the extra functionality you get with console capability than anything really. With that said I'm a huge fan of my A40's - they are extremely comfortable and the microphone had very good sound isolation where it wouldn't pick up my standard speaker sound/playback.

If you have any specific questions about the Astro A40's I'd be happy to answer any of them for you. The one thing I will give it credit for is its durability - I have tripped over it so many times and ripped it from my desk that it's remarkable that it is still working flawlessly. I can't comment on the specific sound quality of the headset since I'm no audiophile but I will say that when I first put them on I thought I had my surround sound setup on instead of the headset at first so it gives a nice sense of distance with the sound but lacks a lot of that power that the Senheisers will probably deliver.

The PC 360 uses the same drivers as the HD 5#8 headphones, and is not as crazily overpriced like every other headset on the market. The PC 363D is just a PC 360 with different colors and an included USB DAC/amp.
