Durable Silent Large mouse ???

Hey guys,

I was wondering if you guys can recommend a large mouse with silent/quiet buttons and that is responsive. I did get one last year (ShiRui L6 Wireless Optical Gaming Mouse Rechargeable Silent Mice with 7 Colors Breathing Lights, 6 Buttons with 2400/1600/800DPI (Black)) but durability has been an issue. So Any recommendations?

Thanks

I think the only ones you're going to find are the same kinds of cheap Chinese mice, every major company uses clicky switches for their mice.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

There is going to be a audible click noise or else you wouldn't know when you press the button and using it would be all faked up.  There is a click noise but of course if you have HP's on and gaming then you go by feel.  It needs that feel ,, that click sound lol,  So no there are no such thing as a silent mice.  But of course really cheap ones might be really loud and what not.  Good suggestion Kriss my friend.  Also what is your budget ?

Yes, there are, don't be ridiculous. Logitech M590 as suggested, there are few others also.

Sorry I said it incorrectly.  Yes there are pretty silent mice but there will always be a click noise but of course on the M590 it will be much more silent then competitors.  I just said there is a noise.. I said it wrong.  I should have said M590 is silent but I mean there is a audible click sound;  some mice more then others.  But Logitech you can trust it to be very silent but as I said there is a sound some mice more then others.

First thanks all for the suggestions I really appreciate it. The budget isn't an issue as long as it actually lasts and durable. I would definitely look into the M590.

Also lastly do you have any or can mention some pet peeves or at least what you like the mouse to look and feel like and size which you already did.  But I mean do you want side buttons do you want a curve design or RGB lighting.  Things like that...  I wanna make sure your happy with the mouse.  Sometimes me included especially with Razer, it is a on going battle with the mouse it never feels like and cursor moves and jumps around and dances when your listening to music which of course as bass.  Logitech doesn't do this you can blast the subs and the mouse will stay put.  We can go near triple digits if budget is not a issue.

i want it obviously big, not the kind with a huge bump in the back preferably, responsive at least 1600,2400 dpi. Other than that i don't care how it looks at all, just that it is comfortable to use and responsive.

I think the M590 is not for you my friend, it is not a big mouse for big hands.  If you want the best mouse with huge thumb rest area and proper curve and fit like a glove you will need to go with this  Logitech MX Master 2S

Master is not silent in any way.. Pretty loud clicks, tried it fairly recent in a store. OP want silent, at least offer something quiet.

Well I sure don't  have experience with that mouse so I can't argue your point.

But what do you think about the shape and size ?  It is much bigger then M590.  Does he need to sacrifice size with mouse click noise ?

Personally I would go to Fry's or Best Buy and try out the different mice.  IMO buying blindly for noise situation might go south.  I just can't recommend the M590 as it is not a big mouse like you wanted.  I think OP he wants a nice curved and big thumb space area and what not.

Well, I like the mouse, I ordered it, they did not have the colour that I wanted in store, my hands are somewhere between small and medium, it is perfect for big hands, but  I like when it's a non gaming mouse. BTW Sound level of the clicks is obvious in this video, around 2 : 20 mark

Unless you have hands of a 6"2 or larger person this mouse will be fine for you.  Good buy.  I just can't comment since I have no experience with this baby!

Got it then. Back to the silent mice: if the OP must have a quiet mouse he might have to sacrifice durability or size, no other way around it.

sadly i might have to just get the same one i have now, if it wasn't for the durability aspect, it would have been perfect, it is nearly 100% silent, especially when it was new. Thank you all though for the help.

Does your family complain about the sound that it must be silent or some other reasoning? Just curious.
