I have a choice between the Asus Prime X370-Pro and the Asus ROG Strix B450-F Gaming.

Should I purchase the B450 as it will be compatible with more CPUs in the future of get the X370 as it is cheaper and has relatively similar specs.

I have a Ryzen 7 2700 and a GTX 1660.

Do you really need an asus board? For 1st and 2nd gen Ryzen asus was pretty weak while msi and asrock pulled out the best boards, like the Msi tomahawk or the b450 steel legend (or pro4). If you want to get asus for some reason then it wouldn't make any difference probably, since the bios size in the x370 is the same as the one in the b450
