New Nvidia 436.15

So today Nvidia released the      

436.15  drivers, any change that we would be aware of .

Cause there not even a few days  that the last driver had been released.....

The drivers are for the release of the game Control and Ray Tracing support for the game. Thats all.

I'm not thrilled for new drivers ffrom NVidia anymore...

 

they are currently in a more rubbish state than AMD/ATI ever were... 

 

For example the last current driver for the 1060 made several games freeze and crash the driver. Even in older titles or when "abusing" the webvideo streams a little. 

 

Hell not so long ago a new driver for the 760 phantom I had killed windows so that it only rebootet in factory reset mode. Found out after I finished reinstalling and then putting in the same driver again... I removed it and went further back. 

 

So for NVidia drivers... wait until you update for outraged screams in message boards ?

If you ever want to know what a new driver version is bringing to the table, on the landing page where the download button is, there's a link towards the bottom labeled "Game Ready Driver Release Notes" That will tell you what the new driver version brings, among other things.

I read somewhere today, but can't find it now, that the new drivers were crippling the performance of cards running with old CPUs. You might wanna hold your horses a bit, or at least check for this info and see if you find something. I remember the article mentioning CS:GO, The Witcher 3, and DOOM in particular.

 

Edit.: It wasn't this one, but it tells the tale anyway...
