Been having this issue for a week or 2 and havent been able to fix it. I thought it could have to do with over-heating seeing as while playing BF4 my CPU would get to +90©. So i removed the CPU fan and applied new thermal paste and it's been much cooler since ( not much higher than 60©). It isnt new hardware because the last new hardware that was installed was my Roccat Kone XTD and it was fine.

The error seems to occur when alt+tabbing out of BF4 during a game or when ending the process and then if i move my Google Chrome window or minimize/close it freezes for a second and then BSOD's with either PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA or SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXEPTION.

I cant post dump files because they dont seem to appear in BlueScreenView or WhoCrashed. I wrote down the codes and they are:

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 0x00000050 0xFFFFF900C09D87A0 0xFFFFF9600069DC51

the program seems to be "cdd.dd"

and for SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXEPTION:

0x0000003B (0x00000000C0000005)

the program seems to be "win32k.sys - address FFFFF96000116107 base at FFFFF96000050000

Date stamp 508047ce

My specs are:

500GB HD / 1000GB HD

GTX550 Ti 1GB

i5 2500K

530W PSU

8GB RAM

If you need anymore info just ask

I hope someone knows how to fix it.

Hi

This might not be the case for you but a friend of mine had the same problem, he had a gtx 650, and it was because it got to hot, his GPU could hit around 90+© and then the the BSOD would flash. Might not help you, but he bought a kraken G10 and water cooled his GPU, no BSOD ever since, (this happened about 3-4 weeks ago.)

Thanks

So I can put anything here?

How big is your pagefile (virtual memory)? First BSOD could be because its too small and can handle multiple processes accessed at same time. BF4 needs 4gigs min of pagefile to work smoothly.

I'm guessing your not using any firewire products and as it happens in BF4, I'm thinking its your GPU, how old is it ?? And are you sure its still working correctly.

Well, its bit hard to find (and me to explain because of Finnish OS) but you can find it System and Performance settings in Control Panel. I just noticed that mine is shown wrong in Task Manager. Shows 400Mt and I've set it to 16gigs.

GPU is under a year old :l It's been fine. BSOD'd for the first time out of bf3 yesterday without even alt+tabing. Just bombed straight out after 5mins

Yup. You seem to have enough. Just check that mininum is at 4gb. Then its one cause cleared.

Minimum is 16MB how would i change it?

Select drive that your pagefile is located. Select Custom size. At mininum set 4000 and maxinum 8000. Then press Set and OK. You might need to boot for those to be active.

I have an Initial siz and Maximum size option... No minimum http://gyazo.com/ce5ecab78a55fe812b88bf6aa16b9cee

Ok, then initial is same as mininum. Set it to 4000 and max to 8000. You can set both to be 8000 also. That makes little to no difference.
