CPU temp very high

I checked my CPU temp by using speccy and it says the CPU temp is around 88 degrees celcius to 101 degrees celcius wen idle, is there a reason why its so high, is speccy accurate But on CPUID HWMonitor it says CPU temp is 37 to 44 degrees celcius idle. all other pc parts are at normal temps. Fan is working properly

Speccy is probably reporting in Fahrenheit and not Celsius. 88F is ~31C, 101F is ~38C. Take a screenshot and post it here if you can.

Trust Hardware monitor. In my experience, it matches up directly with Ryzen Master for temp monitoring. If you want to know for sure... go download Ryzen Master and check that.

you could also check with hwinfo64(or ryzen master) but most likely speccy is reading a variable used in an equation or some such...

I had an old FM2+ dual core that would say 125C.....
