Hello everyone

Forgive me if i get some details wrong here, first time posting.

My specs:

OS: Windows 10

Cpu:I7-4770

Gpu:Rx580 aorus 8gig

Ram:8 gigs of ddr3,dont know the brand

Motherboard:its a colorful board (dont know what make)

Power supply:730watt

So I've been having a very strange problem with my pc for the past month, the problem is wildly inconsistent, where the pc will, this is the best way i can explain it,switch off and come back on,not like a restart but actually shut off and come back on by itself.

Now what i mean by wildly inconsistent is that ill be able to,for example, run superposition 1080p high and nothing will happen

But if i try open crome it can shut it off like i said

Other times i can open file browser, crome, etc and even play a demanding games like MGS TPP on max or Arma3

Other times it will shut off on start up

The list just goes on

What I've tried to fix it:

Replace motherboard

Replace ram

Replace gpu x2

Replace power supply

Replace cpu cooler

Reinstall windows about 3-4 times(even tried using windows 7)

Check all cables for faults

Check if cables are touching metal

Check if power pins are fine

Check if dust or dirt or something is on/under cpu

Unplug every peripheral

Unplug every harddrive(besides OS hd)

Use different wall socket

Use different power cable x2

I'm not sure if this is enough info or not but helpful i can get some help

Thank you in advance.

When you say replace do you mean removing and putting it back in?

Wow, do you have any old PSU lying around? perhaps you could try that otherwise it might be the cables, like, inside the cables or something.

Unfortunately no,when i bought the new psu i had to sell the ones i had laying around

Also one thing i forgot to mention is that this problem was around before and after i replaced the psu

Did you try to check the CPU with Prime95?

Please tell us if you get any errors or warnings in Prime95.

Will do,so for no shutdown or errors

More questions:

Do you use extention cords or any kind of adaptors (power adaptors too)?

By the way here's the screen shots of the 4 workers.Capture.PNG.cf64e41f5d07169842e67d307b66c702.PNG

I see no problems with the CPU,your CPU is working as it should.

Next is testing the RAM with Memtest64.

Note:

I suspect the power in your place is not clean, dirty power can cause some weird things to happen like it's haunted.

I'm not too sure about the power though,my brother has a far more powerful rig and he has never experienced this problem before.

Can you try using the PC with just one RAM stick for testing?

I have a suspicion that the power switch in your case is shorting, which can cause such a thing.

Did you try a different case?
