What cpu?

Got a friend running an AMD FX-6300 3.5Ghz, EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti SC Gaming 4GB GDDR5, 8GB DDR3. He asked me to find a cpu for him to upgrade to. What should I tell him?

better not stick to fx platform and suggest at least ryzen 1600 if he has really tight bugdet

dont go below r5 1600 and ideally aim for r5 3600
