Here is the part list so far - note: i am still in the market for a monitor 27" or 32" 1440p. no real interest in 4K gaming or VR.

Get a ryzen 3600 and oc instead, and a corsair CX or coolermaster masterwatt for the PSU. Try to get an AIB 5700XT, the reference card isn't very good.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

Thank you for the reply.

I was considering a 3600 initially however i went with the 3600x because i don't know how to overclock/anything about it.

Is it something that is easy to do or does it require an in-depth knowledge of buiding/tinkering with rigs??

I will definitely look into those PSU suggestions - thanks!

Appreciate your help!

Just my opinion: I think 27" is the sweetspot for 1440p, I have a 27" 1440p monitor right now and it's a perfect size for gaming. 32" would personally be too big for me, the distance I sit from my monitor, about 2 feet, would make it too difficult for me to scan the monitor quickly if I were playing something like Six Siege.

But if you play more immersive experiences like racers, GTA V, Witcher etc - perhaps a bigger screen would be better for things like that :)

for a 3600 or 3600x, you most likely don't need an x570 board, and x470 or even a B450 board can easily use those cpu's, but the x470 would be what i would reccomend as it should be fine all the way up to a 3800x with very few issues, just make sure it has a newer bios and even then, I have heard about a system AMD is creating that will send you an older cpu that you can use to update the bios all for free or low cost as long as you return it (not sure of its availability in multiple countries, or if this service has even launched). the card listed above seems to be a blower style, so i would recommend this one https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-radeon-rx-5700-xt-gv-r57xtgaming-oc-8gd/p/N82E16814932208?Description=5700XT&cm_re=5700XT-_-14-932-208-_-Product ,if it comes back in stock, and for a case, yours is fine, but for me personally ive used a Phanteks P350x and love it, but the case is down to personal preference. For ram I have heard that 3600mhz ram is optimal for best ryzen 2 performance, so that could be something for you to look into, but if you need some extra cash headroom, 3200mhz should be fine. Hope you enjoy building your new PC! just don't bend the tiny metal bits on the io shield like my idiotic self did when i built my first pc.
