I'm trying to get my setup to allow me to hear audio from my PC n' Xbox at the same time. I'm using a HyperX Quadcast mic n' since Xbox doesn't allow for USB mic's it has to go through the PC and use Xbox app on PC for party chat for use of this mic. Ideally I want the headset to be plugged into the Quadcast so I can hear myself n' the party chat through it, but I also need to hear the game which I also want running through the same headset for games like R6S(on the Xbox), so I can communicate n' hear both the game and friends(maybe some music in the background at times~). Another note both the PC n' console are plugged into one display, PC with HDMI n' Console with HDMI converted to DVI (since my monitor didn't have two HDMI) Only thing that has worked is the Xbox streaming to the PC, but that isn't ideal due to internet n' quality ect. Other than that I did try a dual connector one plugged into the Quadcast n' the other into Razor controller connected to the Xbox with both to the headset, but that just gave a loud interference, but did have both playing sound, also did monitor n' Quadcast plugged into headset, still had a interference which could be ignored if you kept the audio lower than normal, though the PC(Quadcast connection) seemed to override the display causing one of two things, such low audio from the monitor connection so the only way to hear it was crank up the volume to 100 and have the Quadcast set fairly low. Or it tended to only play in one side of the headphones. Any ideas?

So - let me clarify this, if I can.

You want to hear audio from your PC, as well as your Xbox at the same time.

What about your mic or mics? Do you need to hear yourself talking (monitor yourself), or just regular audio?

You probably need a mixer. You plug your PC in as one sound input, and your Xbox as another input. Then you use the mixer to balance the output so that each is as loud as you want it to be.

And then, you plug your headphones into the Monitoring port on the mixer.

Bonus points, you can plug the mixer into an amp with speakers, among other things.
