SO I've got another one of these issues to bring to the forum. Two computers are involved and I'll include the specs of both machines.

Computer A (GFs comp, the one with the issue)

Asrock Extreme 6 Z97

Intel 4690 (has CM Hyper 212 cooler)

8gb Gskill DDR3

MSI 580 Armour

480gb SSD

Corsair HX520W (yeah I know its old AF and the 90% sure its the culprit)

Computer B (mine)

Gigabyte z270xp sli

intel 8600k (noctua u14s)

256gb samsung ssd

GB 1070 windforce

16gb ddr4 kingston

Corsair HX620W (and yes i know this is again is old AF but hey its the only original part from my first build 11 years ago lol, go corsair)

So the issue started 2 days ago, playing wow and after a while my GFs machine just restarted for no reason, load back into wow and had afterburner core temp running to see what temp the gpu and cpu got to before it konked out. CPU was fine and the GPU got to 85 degrees, high but I thought it wasn't the craziest as that card does run quite warm. The next day I ran a memory test to be safe and that was fine then swapped our GPUs see how they'd go. The 580 in my system worked fine, at 100% load got to its normal temps at 70% fan speed and no crash. The 1070 running in the other machine was fine in Uniengine Valley benchmark and also in wow, nothing phased it.

SO the conclusion I can see is that the 580 is drawing to much power and causing the PSU to screw up and restart the system as its TDP is about 35w's more than the 1070. I just wanna make sure I've got it right before dropping any new parts, $130AUD on a good PSU is better than buying myself a new 5700 or 2060Super (GF gets the 1070 :P)

I would grab a new power supply and wait a few more week/month for AMD gpu drop and pick up some second hand 2060/2070.
