I am currently building a PC and I need some suggestions for storage. I want to have 1TB and have the SSD be NVMe. Currently, I am leaning towards an Intel 660p M.2-2280 NVMe SSD, but is it worth it to go up the price point to get a Samsung 960 EVO or even a WD Black (Both 1TB). Thanks!

Hi,

660p is not so good, look at Corsair MP510, Kingston KC2000, Seagate FireCuda SSD, and 970 Evo. The Corsair is probably best performance/price of these few.

Just now, AndrewTaylor1999 said:

why is 660p not good?

It's actual speed is a bit low considering it's PCIe 3.0x4 SSD, and it has lower longetivity. The Corsair is more expensive, sure, but still much cheaper than a 970 EVO but pretty much on par performance-wise
